Kerr Scott Reservoir The Wilkesboro Polar Plunge becomes the Solar Polar Plunge for it's 10th anniversary in 2009 ! On Saturday, August 29th participants who have raised funds for Special Olympics fulfill their obligations by jumping into the waters of Kerr Scott Lake. Also new is the Super Plunge where a select few will take 24 jumps in 24 hours! The Super Plunge begins at 1 pm on Friday, August 28th at the main entrance to the lake. Law Enforcement Torch Run Shirts and Hats Available Now! Get yours at the Wilkesboro Law Enforcement Operations Center located at 100 West St. (the corner of Main St. and West St.) Shirts are $13 and hats are $15 with all proceeds to benefit N.C. Special Olympics. We can also deliver anywhere in town plus one mile, ship them to you or have your order ready for pick-up at any fundraising event.
