Larceny of Chain Saw/Handgun

Cub Creek Park has had two recent larcenies. One case involved a handgun being removed from a cargo bag while in a car and the other involves the theft of a chainsaw from the Town of Wilkesboro storage building.


Counterfeit Currency

Several businesses and banks have discovered counterfeit currency being passed recently.


Breaking/Entering Car and Larceny

A vehicle was broken into at Belk's and a purse taken.


Larceny of Cement Mixer

A cement mixer was taken from a construction site behind the Sonic restaurant.


Larceny of Four Wheeler

A Honda Recon 500, green in color, four-wheeler was taken from Dee Jays Restaurant on School St.


Larceny of Trailer

A large, heavy equipment trailer was taken from WISCO offices. It is white with rust using a 2 7/8" ball.


Breaking and Entering and Larceny
Date:5/15/2008 - Status:Unsolved
A.E. Myers and Son Tire was broken into and many items including cash, checks, tires and wheels, tools, etc. were taken the night of May 14th.


Breaking and Entering Perrys Automotive
Date:4/12/2008 - Status:Unsolved
Someone broke into Perry's Automotive on US 421 and took impact drivers for 1/2" and 3/8" drives, aluminum wheels for a four wheeler, did damage to the building and tried to steal a four wheeler.


Larceny of Catalytic Converters Several Locations

There are many of these crimes since April 2008 unsolved. Call Crimestoppers if you have information for a reward or the police department. These thefts continue to be a problem.
